POULTRY LIVE HAULING TRAILERS


Over the years, Jet has supplied the poultry industry with live haul specialty flatbeds trailers designed specifically for mounting live cages and hauling poultry. Each trailer is unique to the customer and their needs. Most of these trailers have different options including axle spacing and quantity, trailer deck height, side rail options, and front bulk heads. Features May Include:

Frame Construction

Two Fabricated High Strength Steel I-Beams. Automatically Welded, top, bottom, and both sides.

Crossmembers

Steel: 6" steel channel, 8.2 lbs./ft. Aluminum Combo: 6" side high strength aluminum extrusion, The siderail is the winch track on both sides.

Siderail

Steel: 6" steel channel, 8.2 lbs./ft. Aluminum Combo: 6" side high strength aluminum extrusion, The siderail is the winch track on both sides.

Rubrail

Steel: 3/8" x 2" steel. Aluminum Combo: 3/8" x 2-1/2" high strength aluminum extrusion

Stake Pockets

Spaced 24" on center with pipe-spool. ID 1-5/8" x3-7/16" is common, other spacing and configurations available.

Kingpin

30” setting standard. Other settings available.

Axles

30” rear axle setting, Hub Pilot, Axle Beam ratings: 22,500 lb rating for spring suspensions, 24,000 lb rating for air ride suspensions

Suspension

• Air Ride, Rated @ 25,000# with ABS, available in closed tandem (49”) or 10'1" spread. Spring suspension available in closed tandems.

Wheels

• Steel, White powder coat, 10 Holes, nut 33mm

Liquid-filled Air Gauge

• Installed in a weather resistant enclosure on the road side of the trailer by the front suspension. Reads pressure from the airbags. Filled with shock absorbing liquid to protect the gauge from vibration.

Landing Legs

• Two speed landing legs. Ultimate load capacity 140,000 lbs.

Decking

• Steel: 1-1/8" apitong is typical. Aluminum Combo: 1-1/4" extruded aluminum is typical, other options available. 5/16" zinc plated floor screws. 2" nominal oak is also available

Kneebraces

• Kneebraces are located approximately on 4' centers, supporting outside rail, primarily located between the landing legs and the suspension.

Dock Bumpers

• Heavy duty rubber dock bumpers, located on outside corners.

Mud Flaps

• Anti-sail with Jet Trailers logo, 2 located rear at the rear of trailer on a 49” tandem or both axles on 10'1" spread

Wire Harness

• Factory sealed with internal ground to reduce corrosion and maintenance.

LED lights

• Bullet style clearance and marker, Side turn signal, 4” round tail light, license plate light. Long lasting, Reduced maintenance, very bright.

Corrosion Resistant Paint System

• Bullet style clearance and marker, Side turn signal, 4” round tail light, license plate light. Long lasting, Reduced maintenance, very bright.

Options:

Axles

• Axle configuration options include single, closed tandem, tandem spread, triple, triple spread, quadrupedal, or other options.

Axles, Lift Kit

• Either regulated or non regulated lift axles with control box. Can be installed for any axle in several combinations (Front, Middle and/or Rear)

Axles, Sliding Tandem

• Slider boxes are optional or closed tandems. Also the front or the rear axle can install as a slider on a tandem 10' 1” spread.

Integrated Axle and Suspension

• Lighter weight than the standard axle and suspension mount.

Disc Brakes

• Disc Brakes are an available option to the standard drum brake.

Aluminum Wheels

• Light weight and a better visual appearance. Available in Standard or Extra Polish

Steel Wheels

• Common options are 8.25 x 24.5 or Wide Base Single Wheels, other sizes or colors available.

Tires

• Common options are 11R24.5 Radial Tires or Wide Base Single Tires, other options available.

Tire inflation equalization system

• Regulates correct and equal tire pressure across all tires. Controls two axles. Triple axles will require and second system.

Liquid-filled Air Gauge

• Installed in a weather resistant enclosure on the road side of the trailer by the front suspension. Reads pressure from the airbags. Filled with shock absorbing liquid to protect the gauge from vibration.

Dump Valve

• Manual dump valve with liquid filled air gauge in a sealed enclosure

Tire Carrier

• Allows for storage of a spare wheel and tire

Coil Package

• Main Beam, Crossmembers, and kneebraces can be configured for heavy concentrated loads such as steel coils.

Lower Deck Heights

• Lower deck heights are optional if increased overall head clearance is required.

Bulk Head

• A bulkhead can be added to the front of the trailer. either bolted on or mounted in welded stake pockets.

Aluminum Tool Boxes

• Aluminum tool boxes can be mounted outside the main beam.

Twist Locks

• Twist locks are available for container securing

Sliding Winches

• Sliding whinches can be mounted the either the road or the curb side of the trailer on the side rails.

Winch Straps

• Straps can be added for load securement.

Rope Hooks

• Rope hooks can be added for load securement.

Recessed Tie Downs

• Recessed tie downs retract into the deck when not in use.

D-Rings

• D-Rings can be added to the main or upper deck at custom locations.

Marker Lights

• Multiple configurations to increase the trailer visibility in the dark. Please contact your sales rep about options.

Tail Lights

• Three tail lights are standard. Four are optional. Increases the trailer visibility from the rear.

Paint Colors

• Stocking colors are black, slate gray and red, or custom matching is possible.
